Embracing intuition and your body
By the time I was in elementary school, I had cracked the code on how to be popular. I was convinced that the key to popularity was to be skinny, which meant I needed to have a thigh gap. But, I was cursed with strong, athletic thighs. Sure I could climb trees, ride horses, and play pretty much any sport.
But, how was I ever going to be popular if my thighs touched?
To make matters worse, I was always the tallest kid in class, towering over the other kids. By fifth grade, I was taller than most of my teachers too. I used to lie in bed, clenching every muscle, willing my body with all of my might to just stop growing. I desperately wanted to be petite and adorable. When all the girls circled up to whisper together, I didn’t want to feel like a giraffe stretching down to be included. My body had other plans.
For so many years, my body felt like a big problem.
Everything shifted when I sat in my first intuitive development circle. I learned that my body wasn’t just something to be judged; it was capable of magic! The images in my mind, the thoughts in my head, and the feelings flowing through my body were all telling me stories—stories about the people around me and the world I was experiencing.
That was nearly 20 years ago, and I’m still learning how my body, my human navigation system, works in collaboration with The Universe.
Now, I help other people experience this transformation. This is why the upcoming retreat in Maine is so special to me. It’s not just about relaxing in nature or taking a break from daily life. It’s about celebrating what your body can do, discovering its hidden wisdom, and nourishing your soul.
Are you curious about what your body might want you to know? At the retreat, we’ll explore how to listen to your body’s intuitive messages. We’ll dive deep into how to shift the way you relate to your body, moving from judgment to celebration.
If this resonates with you, I invite you to check out the full retreat agenda (click here to view) or grab a spot on my calendar for a conversation. Let’s discover together what your body is ready to reveal.
