Gratitude for the hard times

Like most creatives, I have more ideas than I have time for. That’s okay, I believe that ideas are their own beings. They’ll find someone else to give them form if I don’t. When I sat down to write my recent newsletter, I had a lot of ideas and couldn’t decide where to focus. So I did what I often do, I asked my Council for advice,

Give people permission to love themselves through the Holiday Season

That’s the advice I was given. Here’s the rest…

Allow grace to fill your heart and gratitude for the shifts that your heart has made this year. You are being pushed to expand. Expand beyond fear and beyond the closed, hard hearted places that make you feel unsafe.

With great love comes great vulnerablility and great strength. By having the courage to let go of being right, of knowing the direction you are going, of having a voice- you embrace a freedom and a powerful flow.

The waves in the ocean are pulled by the moon, pushed by the wind and are strong beyond measure. So too are you when you allow yourself to focus on the flow of your life. Allow the parts of your life that feel hard, stuck, painful to let go of their story. You are right, of course you are- and yet, you’re trapped by your rightness. Trapped by your insistence that there is pain, your insistence that the person, situation, politics, economy, etc. is wrong.

Allow yourself the freedom to step back from your story. What if it was 50 years from now? What if you were reading this story in a novel?

Unattach and be free. Unattach and flow. Unnattach and be strengthened.

A Moving On Permission Slip

I created a Moving On Permission Slip as a fun tool to help with permission to flow in your life. If you find it helpful, I’d love to hear how you use it!
